Reverend Dr. Wilson Daniels is a native of Kilmichael, Mississippi and a graduate of Montgomery County High School. He also attended Mississippi Valley State University and completed his studies at Chicago Baptist Institute where he received a Bachelor of Theology Degree in Pastoral Studies.
He has been the pastor of the United Baptist Church, 4220-42 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Illinois 60624 for 37 years. His motto is, "Serving God Through Serving Humanity."

Pastor of the Peoples Baptist Church (1971-1974)
Pastor of the United Baptist Church (1974-present)
Under Pastor Daniels leadership the congregation has thus far engaged in and completed three successful building projects (renovation of the sanctuary at 4220 W. Roosevelt Rd., added an educational wing and erected a new edifice at 4242 W. Roosevelt).
He has instituted a weekly food give away which feeds more than 10,000 people a. year.
He has also established a weekly clothing give away and an annual clothing give-a-away to the community in the church’s parking lot. He has put in place an Employment Ministry, a Substance Abuse Program, an Ex-Offender and an Anger Management Program. He has initiated a Marriage Ministry, Singles Ministry, Moms of Preschoolers Ministry, Moms in Touch Ministry, Taste of United, also a United Arts & Crafts/Heritage/Entrepuerrners Expo, Scholarship Ministry, Teen Awareness Ministry, Junior Church Ministry, Praise Dance Ministry (adult, teen and children’s), Drill Team Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, etc.
He founded the Clarence Jones Life Long Learning Institute, a Computer Training Center, and a program to assist students in college or other training centers. He also initiated a Juvenile Justice Program for teens. United is also involved in a prison ministry. Pastor Daniels has also instituted the Cedar’s Program which assist in the conservation of energy . Under his leadership United has established Women’s month and a Women’s Conference. His accomplishments also include assisting in the building of over 75 homes for low income and 1st time home owners in the Lawndale community.
Reverend Daniels and his wife Gladys have been married for 45years. They have two children Torrence (Tabitha) and Tamara (Pastor David Pope) , and six grandchildren.
